DAY TWO
Next on our journey we were looking for an old dock that was used to tranfer goods from one barge to another here on the river during 30's to about the 60's. The mountain in the back right is one that we want to reach on day two.
Getting closer!
To the left of this shot there is ice that is built up all along the shore line. In some places it was about 30 feet high!
Also, there were beaver, eagles and a few wolves on the shore. It looked like there were about six in the pack we passed on day two. There are three in this photo. Can you see them?

We didn't quite make it to Bear Rock on day two but we knew we were close. So finding a sliver of level ground we headed to shore and made camp. On inspection of the grounds there were lots of moose and wolf tracks but no bear, which was good.

Mackenzie River here we come. After some sleep of course!
