These two photo's are at the beginning and end of the race! In the blue jacket of course I had just began.

In the red was the last steps! I was pretty much delirious at that point and was wondering if I would ever be able to walk another step!

THis is Squirt he was our mascot for the race. He was won at Fantasyland at the West Edmonton Mall in 2006 and Jennifer sent him up for moral support.

He was traded off at each check point! I think he enjoyed the ride!

My race number and our survival packs. The seminar consisted of people saying "if you do A,B,C you will end up dead!" but I guess that was part of the fun!
Well it’s been a few days since I’ve arrived in Vancouver and I can now walk straight.
Let’s break the race down abit. We split the race up as follows: Shaun ran the first 6.5km, I ran the next 10.5km, Shaun ran the next 14.5km, Shaun ran the next 14km, I ran the next 13km, then the last 13km. Total 71.5km.
The race day weather was perfect @ -17° C, -25ish with the wind-chill. The snow conditions were nuts. The only way that I can describe it is that every step you had three options on where your foot might go.
One: your foot would move left or right and drop between 2-2.5 feet into a quick sand type of snow.
Two: your foot would move left or right and drop about 1-2feet into quick sand type of snow.
Three: your foot has a nice solid base to take a step.
Not knowing where you foot was going was exhausting and almost crippled me! We did in 12 hours 41 min. Wow. I hope to round up some photos so stand by!
