Another great day on Great Bear Lake. Saturday was the official opening of the winter road to light traffic and our first run across Keith’s arm on the lake. We ran for 90 minutes. We didn’t really have lots of Km markings but it was just over 10.5 km by Ski-dooin’ the trail we took.

We stopped half way for a few minutes and about every 15 min on the way back to get out the thermos. The water bottles and my Camel back type hydration system froze up solid, so we had to use the thermos in my bag. It was pretty spectacular to watch the sun rise on the return trip to town. I’m a little tight today but that’s to be expected!

Jenn is crazy busy with the figure skating championships in Vancouver. I’m glad it’s over today and I hope she can get some time to relax. 62 days until the march break!

On one hand we have Jenn hobnobbing with VIP’s and figure skating champions past and present and on the other I’m running across a frozen lake in one of the most isolated places in the country. It’s strange but true, it seems to make sense to me. Looking forward to being together!

That snotcicle hanging from your mustache is really quite disgusting.

I look forward to having you attend these functions as my date when you come home.

I just read those two sentences and they seem rather funny together. To be clear I hope you don't have snotcicles when you escorting me to functions. :)
